Google AdWords are in the process of removing websites that are obvious sales letters for 'make money' or 'online business opportunity' products and affiliate marketers. This is caused by an effort to minimise multiple websites with the same information. If you are looking to market in the 'make money' niche, you should really have a read of this and put these guidelines and recommendations into action.
When starting with Google, you need to be prepared to have a beginners marketing budget of around $5,000 if you plan to use Google as your main marketing strategy.
If you are expecting to market in the 'make money' niche it is wiser to have a higher ticket product to market. There are just too many MLM marketers promoting low cost products.
If your website content is not within the guidelines of Google of you are caught violating the terms and conditions of Google your account will probably be suspended or even worse, banned for life. Its just not worth it, so make sure you are clear on Google rules before you begin to market your product or service with Google.
The following are website requirements for marketing in the 'make money' niche.
Build your site on your blog
Make sure your navigation menu is in proper form
Every page must be accessible from one link
Include a Google Sitemap
Have a description of your site which is keyword rich
Your site should present as a personal site of yourself eg 'site of internet marketer "Jane Smith", do not talk about money
Register your own domain. When choosing your domain name use something simple such as whoisjanesmith.com or meetjanesmith.com do not refer to money in your domain name
Forward your domain name to your blogging site
Include filenames for images
Your websites home page should be content rich and filled with information. The SEO section of your site should have a headline which is also labeled in the source code.
Use lots of links in your website
Don't use any links to affiliate marketing offers. If you want an affiliate program use a 'contact me' or 'work with me' link.
Have an optional email link where customers can leave their details in exchange for further information.
Have a 'link to me' button so other sites can link back to you easily. Backlinks are how Google determines the importance of your site.
Also include your link tin your social profiles and posts to increase your backlinks.
Check out lynx.com to see what the search engine spiders think of your site.
Set up good Alt tags for images and videos. For example 'my home on the beach' when pointing towards your holiday home.
These basic tips are a must know for those of you who are planning to begin marketing with Google. Take the time to get your website in goog Google order before investing in Google advertising.
